Your children love to eat Halloween candy, but consider how much fun you may have making Halloween treats together! Chocolate covered pretzel sticks are fun and simple to make, and everyone loves the sweet and salted mixing of this mouth-watering treat. Whether you are having a party of your own, or wish to send your tiny ones to school or a friend's house with them, these goodies are sure to be a top hit.

Making these Halloween treats can be as easy or as complex as you like. For the simple design, all that you need is a bowl, some wax paper, your favourite pretzel rods, chocolate for melting, and fun seasonal splatters like leaves, ghosts, and bats. These ingredients can all be found at your local grocery store, or you could visit your local artisan chocolatier for some actually decadent dark chocolate.

First, melt your chocolate. There's no need to get fancy here ; simply put your chocolate of choice in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave for half a minute. Remove the bowl and stir the chocolate. Repeat these 2 steps until the chocolate is smooth and creamy. Dip your pretzels in the chocolate. For cleaner eating, leave one end of the pretzel rod revealed by the chocolate. Before the chocolate hardens, throw on your favourite seasonal spatters. Place the sticks on wax paper for drying.

To add some additional flare to your candle sticks, maybe you could even purchase some conventional Halloween candy and incorporate them into your design. Cut up Candy Corn is a savoury addition to an already delectable break. Use tiny tubes of cake-decorating topping to create characters on your chocolate-covered pretzel sticks. You could even experiment with using differing kinds of chocolate to create different characters. White chocolate could be used for a ghost, or dark chocolate for a black pussy. The opportunities are unlimited!
