Doc Martin The Movies DVD $39.98 “Thoroughly charming.” – The Guardian (U.K.) The two TV movies that inspired the hit series Martin Clunes (Men Behaving Badly ) stars as Dr. Martin Bamford. He is an obstetrician and his reasons for leaving London are more personal than professional. Unlike ornery surgeon Dr. Ellingham, he is not rude, irascible, or socially inept – he even smiles! However, we do get glimpses of his selfishness, short temper and distaste for dogs. In Doc Martin , the doctor flees to a coastal village to reassess his marriage and his career. In Doc Martin and the Legend of the Cloutie , he resorts to camouflage, subterfuge and folk magic to get what he wants: a secluded house in the country away from his nosy neighbors in town. Also stars Anna Chancellor (Four Weddings and a Funeral ) and Pam Ferris (Rosemary & Thyme ). Includes SDH subtitles. (2 DVD) approx. 162 mins. |

Convert VHS Home Movies to DVD $19.99 Using a step-by-step approach, this book focuses on how the average home user can convert their existing home movies to a digital medium. As DVDs become even more common, the market for transferring VHS movies to DVD is going to soar. This book seeks the “ease of useâ€? appeal of the DVD/VCR by applying it to the typical home computer, and to allow “mass marketâ€? readers to not think twice about using their computer to extend the capabilities of their DVD. It recognizes the distinction between a computer as a consumer product versus the ease of use of a typical home appliance, such as a VCR or DVD player, and tries to bridge that gap. Put simply, the goal of the book, then, is on the newly-created DVD: the computer is only the mechanism at which to arrive at this goal. It assists readers in conducting an inventory of their existing hardware (Does their computer have a DVD burner? What video editing software might already be included on their computer?), and serves as a guide to their purchase of any required equipment (external conversion device, external DVD burner, etc.). This book skillfully guides readers from the beginning step to the final step of bringing their “VHS memories” into the digital age-knowledge that is going to become more and more crucial for the average home VHS/DVD owner seeking to save their dust-filled tapes without having to pay others to do it. |

If You're Getting Married, Marry Your Best Friend
I'm probably one of the luckiest guys in the world. I have a beautiful wife, an equally beautiful daughter and I get to spend time with them everyday because I work from home. I even get my "me" time which, like the rest of us, we all desperately need.
Now I don't want to misconstrue this as a picture-perfect life because that is difficult to attain in this crazy world but we are happy and I wish this happiness on every one of you reading this, we all deserve it.
This story dates back to, of all nights, October 31st, 1997. It may have been Halloween in North America but I was in northern India at the time and in the middle of Diwali, the Hindu festival of the Lights.
And then I saw her.
From that very moment, I knew.
I was in a small Nepalese village perched 6,000 feet above sea level with the traditional sounds of Nepali songs behind me and a spirited battle cry from villagers in front. I embraced the very culture I shunned in my youth. Then, in the literal moment it takes to sip whiskey from a glass, my life changed.
She was dancing with her friends, completely unaware of anyone else's presence. Everything from what she was wearing – a traditional Indian suit – to how she moved, struck me. She looked absolutely beautiful.
Her hair was as long as a winter's night and her smile as bright as a summer's day. She was shy, slim and she was sexy and she did something to me that no one had done before.
She married me.
I am so proud to call her my wife and after almost 10 years I am still in love with her and I look forward to growing old together. In 20 years will I still feel the same way? Let's just say I'm not so naïve to think that life will forever be a bed of roses, but I embrace the idea of going on that journey with her.
It may not be perfect, and Lord knows, I'm certainly not and I don't think there is such a thing, but if you want my advice on how to have a happy, fulfilled, married life then make sure he or she is your best friend. If you're at a stage where you don't talk to your partner anymore it's still not too late to turn that clock back, so seek some help. But if you're about to tie the knot, I suggest you seriously ask yourself that question.
As for my wife Rinku, she is my life. My love. My everything. And from that very moment I saw her, I knew.Roger Gurung is a full time home-based entrepreneur with 15 years of corporate sales experience. He has travelled extensively around the world, particularly in Europe, where he worked as a journalist when he was based in London.
