Jewelry Boxes: A Few Hints for Effective Cleaning
A jewelry box is a woman’s treasure trove. It’s the one place where she will store those precious items that she has collected over the years. Each piece of jewelry has its own unique story and this enhances the sentimental value of jewelry boxes.
Such pieces of jewelry are undoubtedly gorgeous and deserve to be stored in beautiful boxes. Looking after your box will require a few simple steps, the first of which is getting rid of clutter. Over time, most of us tend to hang on to pieces that may be broken, have lost a pair, or just don’t hold our fancy any more.
With the clutter out of the way, you can now prepare to clean the box. Most jewelry boxes are made of wood and generally come with soft lining on the inside made of velvet or a similar soft material. Remove all your jewelry from the box and make sure to keep it safe in a purse or container, lest you lose them.
When you take out your jewelry from the box remember to place them apart from one another to prevent them from getting all tangled up. When you place delicate jewelry along with those that have rough edges you run the risk of tarnishing them.
Once the box is empty you can turn it over and shake loose the dirt and dust that is there in it. With the clutter out of the way, you can now prepare to clean the box. Most jewelry boxes are made of wood and generally come with soft lining on the inside made of velvet or a similar soft material.

Clean the mirrors in the box with any glass cleaning solution you have handy. With this done, you are now ready to place your jewelry back into the box.
Don't pick up all your jewelry and dump them back in the box. Next, you should clean each piece of jewelry properly before you arrange them in the box.
Cleaning your jewelry shouldn't take much time and this is the simplest means of storing your baubles in an organized manner.
